When integrating Zomentum Grow with a PSA (e.g., ConnectWise, Autotask, HaloPSA) or another third-party tool (e.g., HubSpot, Keap), users may encounter situations where specific fields cannot be mapped to custom fields in Zomentum. This is due to Zomentum’s field type validation rules.
Key Reasons for Field Mapping Limitations
Field Type Validation:
Zomentum only allows mapping between fields with compatible data types. For example:- Text fields in the PSA/tool can only map to text fields in Zomentum.
- Dropdown fields in the PSA/tool can only map to dropdown fields in Zomentum.
- Number fields can only map to number fields.
- Date fields can only map to date fields.
- Etc etc etc
Missing Field Types in Zomentum:
If a specific type of field (e.g., dropdown) exists in your PSA/tool but there are no custom fields of the same type in Zomentum, the PSA/tool field will not appear in the list of available fields to map.Filtered Field List:
When selecting which field to map to a Zomentum custom field, only compatible fields from the PSA/tool will be displayed. This ensures accurate data synchronization and prevents errors. In the below example, only date fields from Autotask are listed.
Solution: How to Enable Field Mapping
To resolve mapping issues:
Create Compatible Custom Fields in Zomentum:
If a field type is missing (e.g., dropdown), create a corresponding custom field in Zomentum with the same type. Once added, it will appear in the mapping options.Review Field Types in Your PSA/Third-Party Tool:
Confirm the data type of the fields you want to map and ensure they match the Zomentum custom fields.
By adhering to these rules, Zomentum ensures accurate and error-free synchronization between systems, maintaining the integrity of your data across platforms. If you continue to face issues, please contact Zomentum support for assistance.
