You can make changes to the date format from Settings. You have a couple of formatting options available. 

1) You have to go to Settings > Account.

2) Once you open the Account section, you will need to scroll down to “Date and Time” and you can select the Date Format you want. You can have the following Date Formatting options available for you.

• YYYY/MM/DD
• MM DD, YYYY
• DD/MM/YYYY
• DD-MMM, YYYY
• MMM-DD, YYYY
• MM/DD/YYYY
