If you would want to automate the process of sending a contract after a proposal is won you can have this done by setting up automation.
You need to create two automation rules for this:
1. Creating a contract once a proposal is signed
2. Sending the created contract
Creating a contract once a proposal is signed
Please navigate to Sales Automation > Add automation
Set Trigger: Document updated
Filter: Document type is proposal and Status has changed to Won
Action: Create document
Once you add the action Create Document > click on create > a pop-up arises in the right where you have the option to select the category type, in this case, you can select contract and select the respective template you would want to send.
Sending the created contract
Create another Automation > Add automation
Set Trigger: Document created
Filter: Document type is contract
Action: Send document
Once you add the action Create Document > click on create > a pop-up arises in the right where you have the option to draft out an email along with the contract.
Note:
1. This automation can be used for different combinations, by changing the document category.
2. Please be watchful, when you create contracts manually as we have set the type contract for the second automation this would run for all contracts including the ones you manually create. This is purely for customers who would want to automate the process, not for customers who also create contracts manually.
